Rotational Grazing Workshop
Whether you’re new to rotational grazing, or an expert looking for new tips, this workshop is for you! The Grafton County Conservation District is featuring Harry McGovern at Mill Brook Farm in Landaff, a recipient of the 2026 NH Conservation Districts Climate Resilience Grant. This year we’re following up to see how Harry’s grazing systems have grown and evolved over time, with perspectives from experts. Join us to learn how you can implement rotational grazing practices to improve soil health and drought resilience.
Workshop date: Wednesday May 20th at 2:00pm at Mill Brook Farm in Landaff
We will not only learn about current conservation practices, but also Harry’s future plans, with input from local experts Bill Fosher (American Farmland Trust), Judith Falk (American Farmland Trust), and Justin Smith (Green Bough Farm).
Light refreshments will be provided. RSVP to lsokoloski@graftoncountynh.gov and contact us with questions. This workshop will be outside, so please dress accordingly. We hope that you are able to join us!
The NH Conservation Districts Climate Resilience Grant seeks to support farmers in meeting climate change associated challenges. Direct grants enable farms to invest in on-farm infrastructure, equipment, and innovative practices that support farm profitability and the long-term viability for NH’s agricultural sector. This program is made possible through support from the You Have Our Trust Fund, the NH Charitable Foundation, the USDA Specialty Crop Block Grant Program through the NH Department of Agriculture, Markets, and Food, and the generosity of community members.
